Business Systems Administrator (UK)
Location: Uxbridge, Greater London, UK (Hybrid/Onsite)

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Business Systems Administrator to serve as the primary IT resource for our UK operations. This individual will act as the local "boots on the ground" IT representative, providing end-user support, managing office technology infrastructure, and serving as a liaison between the UK office and the global IT team.
This role is ideal for a mid-level IT professional who enjoys a blend of systems administration, technical support, project coordination, and infrastructure management. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting an upcoming office relocation while helping establish and maintain a scalable IT environment for future growth.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems Administration:
- Manage and support local office IT infrastructure, including:
- Network switches
- Firewalls
- Wireless networking
- Internet connectivity
- Workstations and laptops
Assist with office relocation activities, including:
- Network setup and deployment
- Workstation installations
- Connectivity testing and troubleshooting
- Coordination with vendors and service providers
- Support integration of local infrastructure with the company's global IT environment.
- Maintain hardware inventory and technology documentation.
End-User Support:
- Serve as the primary onsite IT support resource for approximately 25–35 users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Provide white-glove support for local employees and business stakeholders.
- Manage user onboarding, offboarding, and account administration.
- Escalate and coordinate application-related issues with internal subject matter experts when necessary.
- Microsoft 365 Administration
Administer Microsoft 365 services including:
- User account management
- SharePoint permissions and access
- Basic tenant administration
- Identity and access support
- Support collaboration and productivity tools within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Vendor & Project Coordination:
- Act as the primary liaison between the UK office and the corporate IT organization.
- Coordinate with external vendors, ISPs, and technology partners.
- Help manage technology-related projects and office initiatives.
- Support future IT improvement projects, including:
Mobile device standardization
- Microsoft Intune implementation
- Process and infrastructure improvements
Required Qualifications
4–7 years of experience in Systems Administration, Desktop Support, or IT Infrastructure roles.
Strong understanding of:
- Windows environments
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Networking fundamentals (switches, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, firewalls)
- Endpoint support and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting small-to-medium business environments.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience coordinating with remote teams across different time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting office relocations or infrastructure deployments.
Familiarity with:
- Microsoft Intune
- Endpoint management solutions
- Dynamics 365 / Business Central environments
- Experience working within a global organization.
- Exposure to vendor management and project coordination.
